Dresses

We had to immediately try on all the new dresses , we have since had to hide Hannah's cause she wants to live in it.

It's not over yet.

On Sunday after church we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Madison's to have dinner like we always do but this time it was Maddie's Birthday. She was spoiled some more with lots of presents. Grandma and Grandpa Gave her Cinderella dolls and made her and Hannah matching dresses and best of all she got a hairpiece ( She wants long hair really, really bad) so now she can have a big ponytail. She got a leapster video game from Grandma Hembrough and some makeup and a fairy princess dress from Heather and Russell to name a few.

Retreat from the heat

After all day at the Zoo , Grandpa thought it would be a good idea to retreat to the Mountains for dinner to get away from the heat ( so you know it was 90 instead of 100). So Chris and Anna , Gordon, Oscar, Brewster and uncle Adam all came with too. We had a great dinner and got really, really dirty. Life could not be better and hey the dirt was cold.

Did we say it was Hot!!!!

The Zoo

After all the bunk bed excitement we all got ready and went to the zoo in a 102 degree weather. We still had a great time we spent all day there seeing lots of shows and then playing in the park and riding the train. Hannah even offered her baby doll to an animal which is a big gesture for Hannah, she covets her babies.

Madison's Birthday finally arrived

After months of Madison waking up and hoping that her bed was growing in to a bunk bed and then asking her Dad every night to build her one cause it was not growing, we told her maybe she would get one for her Birthday. So she has patiently waited for her Birthday with hopes it would arrive. Friday night her Dad stayed up till 2 a.m. putting together a bunk bed while she was oblivious to the fact she had been moved to our bed. When she woke up we said Maddie is it your Birthday and she immediately said wheres my bunk bed? and was so excited when it was really there.

Madison as you can see does not like loud noises. So she enjoyed watching and having Quinton and Parker go and get the Parachutes for her.

We knew that things were getting serious when Mike busted out the lighter fluid to light the little snakes. Apparently all the men gathered around to have they're input and the rest of us waited to be on the news.

The 24th of July

Here in Utah we celebrate the 24th of July for when the Pioneers came in to the valley. It is pretty much the 4th of July repeated with a different meaning. We had everyone come to our house for dinner, fireworks and homemade ice cream. We had a great time.

Whatever Madison does Hannah does.

If Madison were to jump off a cliff Hannah would be right behind her. We love it that she loves her big Sister so much and vise versa. Madison is very protective and makes sure she is not missing out on anything. Madison started taking tap and ballet and Hannah desperately wants to dance too but she settles on being able to wear a little leotard that we had to dig out of the cedar chest, so at least she looks the part.

Mowing the Lawn

The Girl's were fighting over who got to push the little lawn mower behind they're Dad while he mowed. So they settled on each one getting to push a stroller behind him.

One of Madison's and especially Hannah's (she got her Mom's shoe fetish) favorite things to do at Grandma's is to wear her shoes. She has a great collection of high heels.

Here she is in all her glory.

We are excited to announce that another baby girl Dages is on her way. She is due to be here December 7th. As much as her daddy would like a boy we are happy to have another healthy baby on the way and we love our girls ( and we have enough clothes, so rest assured she wont be naked.)

Tuesday, July 8, 2008

We hope that everyone had a good 4th of July. We went to Chris and Anna's (they live where we used to live) for dinner which means that we went to cousin Oscars house, Madison loves to play with Oscar. After dinner we walked up to Sugarhouse Park and watched the firework show. Madison was so proud of herself because for the first time she did not plug her ears and Hannah slept until the fireworks started and could care less about the noise.

After all the playing, poor Daddy and Hannah are tired.

After what seems like forever of below average cold weather we have now gone the complete opposite and it is really really hot here in Utah. We are not complaining though because we are just so happy it is Summer. We have been on one camp out so far and plan to do several more with some boating. We go swimming at Aunt Shellie's pool at least twice a week and also live right behind the Kearns Olympic speed skating oval where they have a water part out front. Apparently we also play an occasional game of whats under the trampoline.Madison wakes up every morning and wants to know if we are leaving that day and if we say no she responds with Oh man! ( if you ever see Dora the Explorer you know where she gets that). So we are keeping busy and having a really fun summer.
